Christmas shoppers in Shrewsbury are in for a real treat on Saturday 19th December when the Christmas market returns to The Square.

A host of stalls selling festive food and drink, there will be beautiful Arts & Crafts and unusual toys, decorations and unique-handcrafted items - many of which are made in the local area. Aromas of warming food, served at the event add to the festivities.

This year Shrewsbury celebrates the 25th anniversary of the filming of 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens and Shrewsbury's annual Christmas Market will have a suitably traditional flavour. Victorian characters, carol singing and special guided tours of the town are on offer.
