Life can be difficult for a blind dog who is homeless, but in countries such as Spain and Romania, living on the street can be life threatening and absolutely terrifying. The aim of Blind Dog Rescue UK is to transport blind dogs from Europe into the UK, either to rescue centres or foster homes until they find loving forever homes of their own where they will be safe and no longer know fear and danger on a daily basis.

20 years ago Shrewsbury had a town centre cycle race that ran around the town centre and was a huge success and quickly became one of the key local races of the season. Paramount CRT,a Shrewsbury based Cycling Club, have brought cycle racing back to Shrewsbury Town Centre. 3pm Opening of the course to families and general public to ride the course in a traffic free environment 4.00pm Racing will begin with a 45 minute ladies only race. 5.00pm 50 minute “amateur” race with competitors drawn from local racing clubs. 6.30pm The “Pro” race to start, a 60 minute race ridden by Elite cycle racers from around the country. 7.45pm Podium presentations and prizes for top 3 riders in each race.
